Advance warning and a plea for information

Yes - we are celebrating our 50th Anniversary in 2007. Not only shall we be organising the event as usual but we shall also be organising a celebration evening for all competitors, checkpoint staff and other helpers on Saturday 22nd September 2007 at the Rolls-Royce Recreation Centre – Moor Lane, Derby. We would like to welcome all past walkers, helpers and friends of the event over the years to help us celebrate our Golden Jubilee. We will have memorabilia and photographs of the event from those early years up to the present day and hope that you too may be able to share your memories with us.

The evening will commence at 7.30 pm and will include a buffet supper. The venue will be the Nightingale Hall, which is adjacent to the Pavilion at Rolls-Royce (Post Code DE24 9HY)

As part of the celebrations, we intend to publish a history of the Four Inns over the past 50 years. If you are a past competitor or have helped on a checkpoint sometime and have memories or photographs suitable for inclusion in the book, we will be very pleased to hear from you.

Please send any items to Robin via email to 50years@fourinns.org.uk or telephone 07831 461950 to arrange postage etc. Whilst we shall take every care of any items submitted we cannot be held responsible should anything be damaged or lost. If you want your photos etc returned then we will do this if you enclose a suitably sized stamped addressed envelope.
